Yamaha Motor Europe è lieta di annunciare un prolungamento di contratto con Arnaud Tonus che lo vedrà continuare a correre in sella alla YZ450F per i prossimi due anni, fino al 2019.
A venticinque anni, il pilota svizzero è attualmente nella sua stagione da rookie nel campionato del mondo di motocross nella classe premier, MXGP. Decimo nella classifica di campionato, ha già mostrato il suo potenziale con un podio nell’ MXGP del Trentino nel mese di aprile, e una vittoria nella gara di qualifica due settimane fa in Russia. Con nove gare alla fine della serie MXGP, una delle quali sarà il suo Gran Premio di casa a Frauenfeld-Gachnang, in Svizzera, il 12 e il 13 agosto, la stella del Team Wilvo Yamaha Official MXGP spera di scolpire un’altra pietra miliare della carriera con una vittoria di manche nella MXGP, e di un gran premio MXGP anche.
Tonus rimarrà nella squadra Wilvo Yamaha official MXGP anche nel 2018.
Arnaud Tonus: “”Sono davvero felice di firmare con la Yamaha. E’ stata la mia prima scelta da quando ho conosciuto Louis e il team Wilvo. Ho un ottimo rapporto con loro e so quanto duramente lavorano per me per farmi felice della squadra, sono grato per questo. Ho preso la mia decisione di rimanere con Yamaha in modo davvero semplice, volevo solo andare avanti con loro. Inoltre ho provato la YZ450F 2018 e posso onestamente dire che è davvero una buona moto e vedo un futuro davvero solido.”
Erik Eggens: “E ‘un piacere avere Arnaud a bordo per altri due anni. Egli ha già testato la YZ450F 2018 e sembra molto fiducioso con la nuova moto, quindi riteniamo che sia una buona mossa per continuare a costruire un rapporto con lui. Credo che abbia un grande potenziale e un buon rapporto di lavoro con la squadra Wilvo, quindi non vedo l’ora di condividere il suo successo nel corso dei prossimi due anni “.
Louis Vosters: “Sono davvero felice di avere Arnaud a bordo e sono entusiasta per i prossimi due anni. Arnaud è davvero un bel pilota con cui lavorare, è andata davvero bene quest’anno e lui è davvero un buon pilota. Sono estremamente felice che abbia firmato.”
Yamaha Renew Contract with Arnaud Tonus Through 2019
Yamaha Motor Europe is pleased to announce a contract extension with Arnaud Tonus that will see him continuing to race the YZ450F for the next two years, through to 2019.
The twenty-five-year-old Swiss rider is currently in his rookie season in the premier motocross world championship, MXGP. While he is tenth in the championship standings, he has already showcased his potential with a podium finish at the MXGP of Trentino in April, and a Qualifying Race win two weeks ago in Russia. With nine rounds to go in the MXGP series, one of which will be his home grand prix in Frauenfeld-Gachnang, Switzerland, on August 12th & 13th, the Wilvo Yamaha Official MXGP star hopes to hit another career milestone with a MXGP race win, and an MXGP grand prix win too.
Tonus will remain on the Wilvo Yamaha Official MXGP team in 2018.
Arnaud Tonus: “I am really happy to sign with Yamaha. It was my number one choice since joining with Louis and the team at Wilvo. I have a really good relationship with them and I know how hard they work for me to be happy on the team, I am grateful for that. It made my decision to stay with Yamaha really easy, and I just wanted to move forward with them. On top of that, I have tried the 2018 YZ450F and I can honestly say it’s a really good bike and I can see a really solid future.”
Erik Eggens: “It’s a pleasure to have Arnaud onboard for another two-years. He has been testing the 2018 YZ450F already and it he seems very confident with the new bike, so it we feel it is a good move to continue building a relationship with him. I think he has a lot of potential and a good working relationship with the Wilvo team, so I am looking forward to sharing his success over the next two-years.”
Louis Vosters: “I am really happy to have Arnaud on board and I’m excited for the next two years. Arnaud is a really nice rider to work with, it’s been really good this year and he is a really good rider. I am extremely happy that he has signed.”
