MX2 ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP AT BOSISIO SIMONE FURLOTTI WON THE “SUPERCAMPIONE”
After forty days, we were back at the Italian Championship. On Bosisio Parini’s circuit, Team SM ACTION had a positive weekend, as Simone Furlotti won the “SUPERCAMPIONE” race and he finished 4th in both MX2 races.
This period keeps its positivity. After that he gained the RED PLATE, as Leader of EMX250 European Championship, Simone is still constantly in the front of the group, any race he participate to.
Simone is now second in the General Standing of the MX2, with 252 points of gap from the Leader Cervellin.
After this race, Furlotti will go to Belgium to do some training before facing the last two rounds of the European Championship, where he leads with 8 points from the second.
SIMONE FURLOTTI #957: “On tracks like Bosisio, the start is very important, and I was not impeccable. It’s a circuit where is hard to overtake and if you don’t make a good start, then things get complicated a little. I also think that the terrain was not well prepared for the race, but it still doesn’t matter as we all had the same conditions. In both races, as I said, I didn’t make a good start, but even though I had a good speed I could not move up so much, so I finished 4th both. I did better in the “Supercampione”, when I finally started in the front and I finished 2nd in the race –just behind De Wulf- and 1st in MX2. At the end of the race, though, the German was downgraded and I found myself as the winner of the race on the top of the podium”.
Michael Mantovani’s weekend looked like a horror movie. We have never seen so much bad luck all in once. After that he was the 14th fastest in Group 2 timed Practice, on a circuit that he doesn’t really like, Micheal went on the track for Race 1 with confidence, but the bad luck had a big role: in Race 1’s second lap he fell off his bike, while in Race 2 he was involved in a multiple-crash so he had to retreat again.
MICHEAL MANTOVANI #722: “It was just a weekend that has to be forgotten. Since the first time I went on the track, I didn’t feel good and I struggled a little. Then I complicated things when I fell down in Race 1 and I had to restart from the 30th position. In Race 2’s start I got involved in a group-crash at the first corner, and my Yamaha was so damaged I couldn’t finish the race. Now I reset my head and I concentrate on trainings, to be ready to make better results in next races”.
Simone Zecchina was not in Bosisio, as he suffered a trauma at his knee, over than a little head trauma, from the crash that he had in Portugal. One more stop for him, this season is very unlucky. If nothing goes worse, we will see Simone on the track in Switzerland, for the second to last race of the European Championship.
