Sul tracciato olandese di Assen, Maxime Renaux conclude quinto con la compagine francese.
Maxime Renaux ha preso parte per la prima volta in carriera al trofeo a squadre. Il Ct Pascal Finot lo ha scelto per sostituire Tom Vialle, impiegandolo nella classe MX2. In sella alla quarto di litro, il giovane transalpino ha cercato di offrire la migliore performance possibile, ma la sfortuna ci ha messo lo zampino, impedendogli di ripetere le ottime performance palesate nel Mondiale.
Dopo aver realizzato il 15° tempo nel corso delle prime prove libere, il portacolori del Team Sm Action Yamaha è scattato a metà gruppo al via della heat di qualifica. Grazie ad un ritmo costante, ha recuperato varie posizioni, agguantando la 10° piazza. In Gara 1 non è riuscito ad uscire con prontezza dai blocchi di partenza, rimanendo bloccato nelle retrovie. Nonostante le difficoltà portate dalle proibitive condizioni atmosferiche, Renaux ha recuperato posizioni sull’infido terreno olandese, tagliando il traguardo 18°.
Nella frazione centrale, l’ultima disputata dal francese, si è mantenuto con costanza a ridosso della top 15, ma la malasorte si è palesata ad un solo giro dalla bandiera a scacchi, facendolo così scendere in classifica fino al 30° posto. Nell’assoluta, invece, la Francia ha visto svanire il podio per un’inezia, complice una battuta d’arresto di Gautier Paulin, costretto al ritiro ad un passo dalla conclusione della terza frazione. La squadra campione uscente ha così chiuso la giornata in 5° posizione, con il rammarico di aver patito episodi poco favorevoli che ne hanno pregiudicato l’esito finale.
La stagione 2019 è così andata in archivio; un’annata comunque importante per Maxime Renaux e per tutto il team italiano che è stato in grado di mettersi con continuità in evidenza, dando battaglia a più riprese con le migliori squadre del panorama internazionale.

After completing the 15th time during the first free practice sessions, the Sm Action Team rider started mid-group at the start of the qualifying heat. Thanks to a steady pace, he recovered various positions, grabbing the 10th place. In Race 1 he failed to get out of the starting blocks quickly, remaining stuck in the rear. Despite the difficulties brought about by the prohibitive atmospheric conditions, Renaux has recovered positions on the treacherous Dutch terrain, crossing the 18 ° line.
The 2019 season has thus been archived; an important year for Maxime Renaux and for the whole Italian team that was able to stand out with continuity, fighting several times with the best teams on the international scene.
In Race 2, the last one disputed by the Frenchman, it remained steadily close to the top 15, but the bad luck revealed itself in just one lap from the checkered flag, making it fall in the standings up to the 30th place. In the absolute, instead, Team France has seen the podium disappear due to a trifle, thanks to a setback for Gautier Paulin, forced to retire one step away from the conclusion of the third stage.
The defending champion team thus ended the day in 5th position, with the regret of having suffered unfavorable episodes that have affected the final outcome.
