2017 MXGP of TRENTINO: Prado Garcia vince gara 2 e si aggiudica il GP. Jonass nuovo leader del Mondiale MX2

Con la fine della seconda manche, la classe MX2 chiude il suo GP del Trentino sul tracciato di Pietramurata, decretando i vincitori di giornata e il nuovo leader in campionato.

Il primo posto al termine delle due giornate, va al pilota del Team Rd Bull KTM Factory Racing Jorge Garcia Prado che dopo aver ottenuto un buon secondo posto nella prima manche, si porta al comando della seconda e la conduce in testa sino alla fine con autorevolezza.

Il secondo gradino del podio è per il lettone compagno di team di Prado Garcia, Pauls Jonass il quale vinta la prima manche non riesce a ripetersi nella seconda. I punti ottenuti però, sono per lui sufficienti per balzare in testa alla classifica di campionato riportando così la tabella rossa sulla sua KTM#41.

Il terzo gradino del podio, è occupato dal belga del Team LRT KTM Julien Lieber che come sempre si rende protagonista di solide manche, ottenendo un terzo ed un quinto posto rispettivamente nella prima e seconda manche.

Completano la top five il danese Thomas Kier Olsen (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) che dopo aver vinto la gara di qualifica del sabato, non riesce a concretizzare nelle due manche della domenica.

Buon quinto posto anche per il suo compagno di team Thomas Covington che ha dispetto di una prima manche conclusa nelle retrovie, porta a termine una bella e combattuta seconda manche che lo vede concludere con un buon terzo posto.

Prima manche difficile a causa di una caduta per Jeremy Seewer (Suzuki World MX2). Lo svizzero costretto ad una difficile rimonta e non riesce ad andare oltre la 9ª posizione mentre migliora nella seconda chiudendo 4°.

Primo degli italiani in questo MXGP del Trentino, è il pilota Honda HRC Michele Cervellin che nella prima manche ottiene un buon sesto posto ma nella seconda manche purtroppo chiude fuori dalla zona punti ottenendo un 0 in classifica finale.

La classifica di campionato vede ora al comando il lettone Pauls Jonass, che approfitta di una giornata no dello svizzero Jeremy Seewer per superarlo e distaccarlo di 9 punti. Terzo, il belga Julien Lieber, che precede Thomas Kier Olsen e Benoit Paturel.

Il FIM Motocross World Championship 2017 torna il prossimo fine settimana in Olanda, sul tracciato sabbioso di Valkenswaard.
