Sarà un intenso weekend di gare quello ci attende questo fine settimana in occasione dell’ MXGP di Francia, che si terrà sul tracciato di Ernée e segnerà il nono round in calendario del FIM Motocross World Championship 2017.
A far da contorno alle classi MXGP ed MX2, avremo infatti ben tre altri campionati e precisamente: il terzo round del Campionato EMX125, il quarto round del Campionato EMX250 e il terzo round del Campionato WMX.
MXGP
Dopo l’ottantesimo successo in carriera in Germania lo scorso fine settimana, Antonio Cairoli (KTM) ha rafforzato ulteriormente la sua leadership in classifica generale portando il vantaggio sul suo diretto inseguitore +44 punti. Un vantaggio importante che se Antonio amministra bene, visto anche il suo stato di forma, può facilitagli di molto la seconda parte di stagione. Un’operazione che non dovrebbe risultare difficile per Antonio, un pilota di grande esperienza e che sa perfettamente quando è il momento di ‘osare’ e quando no.
Tim Gajser (Honda) in Germania ha avuto il secondo consecutivo weekend negativo, iniziato con una caduta nella gara di qualifica del sabato quando era al comando e proseguito la domenica lottando contro il dolore derivante dalla caduta, gareggiando solo per guadagnare punti importanti limitando così i danni e tenendo ancora aperte le speranze di rincorsa al titolo 2017. Vedremo quale sarà il suo stato di salute questo fine settimana e se riuscirà ad evitare gli errori e contrastare il pilota KTM.
Terzo in classifica, il francese del Team Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Gautier Paulin, che questo fine settimana correrà davanti al suo pubblico e vorrà fare sicuramente bene. Ad un solo punto da Gajser, Paulin è candidato ufficialmente alla corsa per il titolo 2017; ha solo bisogno di maggiore costanza di risultati, costanza che sembra aver ritrovato negli ultimi GP.
Clement Desalle (Kawasaki) è quarto in classifica e negli ultimi due GP ha dimostrato di aver recuperato parte della sua velocità per stare con i primi. In Germania ha chiuso quarto a fine giornata e sul duro tracciato francese, potrebbe puntare al podio visto il suo crescente stato di forma.
Dietro il belga della Kawasaki, c’è il suo connazionale Jeremy Van Horebeek (Yamaha) che in Germania è stato protagonista di una caduta in gara due che lo ha privato di punti importanti. Il belga parte sempre bene ed ha un buon ritmo e vorrà sicuramente riscattarsi in Francia, anche perché comincia a sentire il fiato sul collo di Jeffrey Herlings, distaccato di solo 5 punti.
Dopo la Lettonia, anche in Germania Jeffrey Herlings (KTM) è stato protagonista di una grande prova, vincendo gara 1 in rimonta e terminando secondo in gara 2, ottenendo un secondo posto a fine giornata. L’olandese è a -84 punti dalla vetta in sesta posizione perciò se vuole tenere accese le speranze per questo titolo 2017, con 10 gare al termine del campionato per lui la regola è ‘vietato sbagliare’. Vedremo se l’olandese riuscirà ad essere preciso e ‘letale’ come spesso ha dimostrato in passato nella classe MX2.
Da tenere d’occhio in Francia anche Romain Febvre (Yamaha) che oltre a correre davanti al suo pubblico, in Germania ha ottenuto due discreti piazzamenti e sul tracciato di Ernée potrebbe dare quel ‘colpo di reni’ necessario per voltare pagina, in una stagione iniziata tra le mille difficoltà e con l’assenza di risultati importanti.

MX2
Il lettone Pauls Jonass detiene ancora la tabella rossa sulla sua KTM #41 e guida la classifica di campionato, ma in Germania, in entrambe le manche, è arrivato dietro il suo diretto avversario Jeremy Seewer (Suzuki) perciò il suo vantaggio si è leggermente assottigliato, scendendo a + 37. Vista comunque la continuità di buoni risultati, il pilota KTM rimane il favorito alla corsa per il titolo 2017 vista anche la sua grande abilità nel partire sempre nel gruppo di testa e di sbagliare poco.
Jeremy Seewer in Germania ha sicuramente impressionato, ma se vuole contrastare Jonass deve essere più costante ed evitare errori grossolani come quelli commessi nella seconda manche in Lettonia, dove ha rimediato un pesante 0 in classifica. Ora avrebbe molti meno punti di distacco dal lettone.
Il danese Thomas Kier Olsen (Husqvarna), dopo il successo in Lettonia sembrava potersi ripetere in Germania, salendo almeno sul podio ma un errore in gara 2 ha rovinato il suo weekend. La velocità comunque c’è per fare bene, è terzo in classifica e distaccato da Seewer di soli 24 punti perciò con dieci round al termine, può ancora puntare in alto. La costanza di risultati di certo non gli manca e spesso questa ‘paga’ molto di più di vittorie sporadiche.
Weekend tedesco difficile per Julien Lieber (KTM) che chiude ottavo dopo due manche appena sufficienti. In campionato conserva la quarta posizione ma vede arrivare alle sue spalle il francese Benoit Paturel (Yamaha), che dopo lo 0 in gara 1 ottiene un secondo posto in gara 2 e c’è da scommette che in Francia, davanti al suo pubblico e su un tracciato che conosce molto bene, punterà a salire sul gradino più alto del podio e a scalare la classifica generale.
Sesto in campionato è il vincitore di gara 2 in Germania, l’americano del Team Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Thomas Covington spesso veloce e vincente ma ancora non perfetto nelle partenze e spesso protagonista di errori che rovinano le sue gare. Vedremo se sul tracciato di Ernée sarà in grado di ripetersi visto che il terreno è simile a quello tedesco.

EMX250
In Francia torna anche il Campionato EMX250 e non possiamo fare a meno di spendere due parole per questo campionato che vede due italiani nelle prime tre posizioni.
Il recente acquisto del team Monster Energy Kawasaki MX2 Morgan Lesiardo, avrà la tabella rossa di leader sulla sua Kawasaki, dopo averla conquistata nelle prime tre gare in sella alla KTM del Maggiora Park Racing Team dopo un’ottimo GP della Lettonia.
Secondo è il finlandese Miro Sihvonen (KTM) che assente in Lettonia per infortunio, sarà presente in questo round francese. Terzo, l’altro italiano del Team SM Action Yamaha Simone Furlotti, che dopo un avvio di campionato che lo ha visto subito conquistare la tabella rossa, è stato protagonista di due gare sfortunate e di qualche caduta di troppo. L’undicesimo posto i gara due della classe MX2 in Germania è stata per lui un’iniezioni di fiducia e vedremo se in Francia sarà in grado di tornare nelle posizioni di vertice nella EMX250.
