Brian Bogers del Team HRC rimarrà fuori per un periodo di tempo prolungato a seguito di una nuova frattura allo stesso osso che si è fratturato lo scorso novembre.

Il ventunenne di Eindhoven stava facendo una sessione di allenamento nei Paesi Bassi, per completare la sua guarigione, quando ha iniziato ad avvertiree un disagio nel piede destro.

Poiché il dolore non ha lasciato il giovane pilota olandese, Bogers ha deciso di sottoporsi a numerosi esami medici presso l’AZ St. Elisabeth Herentals in Belgio, che ha rivelato una nuova, piccola frattura nel piede. Brian verrà operato il 7 maggio , dopo di che inizierà il suo programma di recupero. Il team HRC sta attualmente analizzando il nuovo scenario e ulteriori notizie saranno comunicate quando disponibili.

Brian Bogers: “Questa è una brutta notizia dopo il lungo processo che mi ha riportato sulla mia Honda dopo l’infortunio. Ho seguito il programma di recupero giorno per giorno come suggerito dai medici, ma purtroppo queste cose possono accadere e ora sono di nuovo fuori. Non c’è nulla che io possa fare adesso oltre a sottopormi ad un intervento chirurgico e farlo di nuovo. Spero che potrò unirmi al mio team il prima possibile, ma ne sapremo di più solo tra qualche settimana.”

Marcus Pereira de Freitas: “Sfortunatamente, ora dovremo aspettare ancora un po ‘per vedere Brian esibirsi nella classe MXGP con il Team HRC. Questo nuovo infortunio – e l’intervento chirurgico necessario per risolverlo – ritarderà il suo debutto in MXGP. Lavoriamo a stretto contatto con lui per sostenere la sua guarigione e non vediamo l’ora di vederlo tornare a pieno regime e in forma.”

New injury to delay MXGP debut for Bogers

Team HRC’s Brian Bogers will remain out of action for a prolonged period of time following a new injury to the same bone he fractured last November. The 21-year-old from Eindhoven was performing a training session in the Netherlands, to complete his recovery, when he started to feel a discomfort in his right foot.

As the pain did not leave the young Dutch rider, Bogers decided to undergo some extensive medical examinations at the AZ St. Elisabeth Herentals in Belgium, which revealed a new, small crack in his foot. Brian will undergo surgery on May 7^th, after which his recovery programme will begin.

Team HRC is currently analysing the new scenario and further news will be communicated when available.

Brian Bogers: “This is bad news after the long process that got me back on my Honda following the injury. I followed the recovery programme day by day as suggested by doctors, but unfortunately these things can happen and now I’m sidelined again. There is nothing I can do now apart from undergo surgery and do it all over again. Hopefully I’ll be able to re-join my team as soon as possible, but we will know more only in a few weeks’ time.”

Marcus Pereira de Freitas: “Unfortunately, we will now have to wait a little longer to see Brian performing in the MXGP class with Team HRC. This new injury – and the surgery needed to fix it – will delay his MXGP debut. We’re working closely with him to support his recovery, and we look forward to having him back at full strength and fitness.”
