Michele Cervellin fa sua la MX2 a Cingoli, prima prova del tricolore 2019.

Dopo il Campionato del Mondo MXGP questo fine settimana, sul “Tittoni” di Cingoli, ha preso il via anche il Campionato Italiano Prestige. Più di 150 iscritti sono scesi in pista accompagnati da due giornate di sole ed un pubblico che su questa pista non è mai mancato.

Come da pronostico la categoria MX2 è andata a Michele Cervellin che nelle due manche totalizza un terzo ed un primo posto. Poteva essere bottino pieno per il pilota delle Fiamme Oro ma gara uno è stata condizionata da una scivolata che gli ha precluso la vittoria. Nella seconda parte quarto ed in cinque giri prende la testa della manche e la tiene fino alla bandiera a scacchi.

MICHELE CERVELLIN #747:“Sono abbastanza soddisfatto per come è iniziato questo campionato anche se è stato un fine settimana un po’ duro perchè non ho trovato un buon feeling con la pista. Nonostante tutto però sono riuscito a vincere la MX2. Il prossimo week end sarò in Inghilterra per la seconda prova del Mondiale dove spero di fare meglio che al GP di Argentina. La condizione fisica migliora gara dopo gara e vedremo di fare bene ”.

Maxime Renaux chiude la sua gara in settima piazza nonostante un problema alla mano destra infortunata nelle prove del sabato. Dopo una radiografia che ha scongiurato qualsiasi frattura, Maxime è sceso in pista collezionando due quinti posti.

Problemi fisici anche per Andrea Adamo. Il pilota siciliano non è stato fortunato, in gara uno è scivolato ed ha dovuto recuperare dal fondo classifica. Nella seconda è caduto dopo poche tornate procurandosi la rottura di un dito della mano sinistra. In settimana sapremo i tempi di recupero.

Discreta la prova per Michael Mantovani. Con un 14esimo posto assoluto Michael centra la qualifica nella Supercampione dove raccoglie una 29esima posizione.

MICHAEL MANTOVANI #722: “Dopo una settimana di influenza e con poco allenamento, è stata veramente dura per me. Però diciamo che sono abbastanza contento perchè la velocità ho dimostrato di averla ma purtroppo nelle due manche sono partito veramente male. La prima sono riuscito a rimontare fino al quindicesimo posto, nella seconda ho chiuso 12esimo. Nella Supercampione la partenza è andata meglio nonostante fossimo insieme alle 450. Soltanto che nel primo giro mi è caduto un pilota davanti e non sono riuscito ad evitarlo e sono ripartito in fondo al gruppo. Fra circa un mese saremo a Montevarchi per la seconda gara e mi dovrò far trovare pronto, soprattutto nelle partenze perchè credo di poter stare in posizioni migliori”.

2019 Italian Motocross Prestige Championship at Cingoli – Michele Cervellin won the MX2 class

After the beginning of the MXGP World Championship, the “Italian Prestige Championship” started last weekend too. More than 150 riders went onto the “Tittoni” track at Cingoli with two good partnerships: sunny weather and a lot of audience.

As expected, Michele Cervellin won the MX2 class with the 3^rd place of Race 1 and the victory of Race 2. They could have been two victories for the “Fiamme Oro” rider, but in Race 1 he slipped and he was not able to win. In Race 2, instead, he started in 4^th place and within 5 laps he gained the leadership and kept it until the checkered flag.

MICHELE CERVELLIN #747: “I’m quite satisfied for the way the championship begun, even though the weekend has been a little hard, due to the difficulty to find a good feeling with the track. Despite of that, I managed to win the MX2. Next weekend I will be in England for the second round of the World Championship and I hope I will make a better result than the one in Argentina. My physical shape is improving race by race so I’m looking forward to do good things”.

Maxime Renaux finished the weekend with the final 7^th place, despite of the injury at his right hand that happened on Saturday. After that the X-rays showed no fractures, Maxime went to the track and collected two 5^th places.

Physical issues for Andrea Adamo too. The Sicilian rider was not lucky, as in Race 1 he slipped and he had to recover from the back of the group. In Race 2, he fell off his bike after a few laps and he broke a finger of his left hand. During this week we will know more about his recovery timing.

Discrete result for Michael Mantovani. He finished the weekend in 14^th place and he qualified for the “Supercampione” race, where he finished in 29^th position.

MICHAEL MANTOVANI #722: “Last week I had a flu and I didn’t train a lot, so it was very hard for me. I’m quite happy, anyway, as I showed to have a good speed even though I had two very bad starts. In Race 1 I managed to recover to the 15^th place, while in Race 2 I finished 12^th. In the “Supercampione” the start went better despite of being in the same race with the 450cc bikes. Unluckily, during lap 1, a rider crashed in front of me and I couldn’t avoid to hit him, so I had to recover from the back. Within a month I’ll be at Montevarchi for the second round and I will have to be ready, especially for the starts of the races, because I think I belong to better positions”.
