Il team Honda HRC presenterà ancora una volta tre piloti che inizieranno il loro assalto al recupero dei titoli mondiali del motocross MXGP e MX2 del 2019.

Tim Gajser (MXGP), Brian Bogers (MXGP) e Calvin Vlaanderen (MX2) hanno un altro anno con il team ufficiale Honda e si dirigeranno verso il round di apertura argentino il 3 marzo pieni di fiducia che potranno lottare per la vittoria.

Lo sloveno campione del mondo Tim Gajser ha terminato con forza la stagione 2018 con diverse posizioni sul podio, e spera di continuare quella buona forma quando la campagna 2019 inizierà a Villa La Angostura, dove ha vinto nel 2017 con una doppietta. Con tre prime due posizioni negli ultimi quattro eventi, Gajser è alla ricerca di risultati ancora migliori mentre si impegna a recuperare la corona della MXGP che ha vinto sulla sua Honda CRF450RW nel 2016.

Dopo un infortunio del 2018, Brian Bogers spera di mettere tutto alle spalle e concentrarsi su una campagna di successo quest’anno con il Team HRC. Il giovane pilota olandese ha completato solo un evento in quella che sarebbe stata la sua stagione d’esordio nella classe MXGP, ma dopo una buona stagionedi preparazione quest’inverno, è pronto a mostrare al mondo ciò di cui è veramente capace.

Calvin Vlaanderen ritorna a bordo della sua Honda CRF250RW mentre cerca di sfidare i migliori piloti del mondo nel campionato MX2. Dopo aver raggiunto il sesto posto l’anno scorso, Vlaanderen cercherà di scalare la classifica nel 2019 e aggiungere ulteriori vittorie alla sua prima vittoria assoluta ottenuta nell’MXGP dell’Indonesia. Spera anche di migliorare i suoi nove primi tre risultati di manche e cinque podi, in quella che è una classe 250cc estremamente competitiva.

I Campionati del Mondo Motocross 2019 inizieranno a Villa La Angostura, in Argentina, il 2-3 marzo.

Tim Gajser: “È un piacere essere stato con la famiglia Honda per sei anni, quindi sono davvero felice di continuare questa relazione, siamo solo una grande famiglia. Conosco tutti nel team e mi sento davvero a mio agio perché tutti vogliono aiutarmi a fare meglio ogni fine settimana. Già posso dire che la Honda CRF450RW è buona, ma abbiamo alcuni test finali questa settimana prima di alcune gare pre-campionato per cercare di migliorarla ancora di più. Poi passiamo all’Argentina e non vedo l’ora che inizino gli eventi MXGP!”

Brian Bogers: “Tutto sembra molto buono in questo momento. Stiamo lavorando molto duramente per prepararci per la stagione, la moto e il team con cui lavoro sono incredibili. Non vedo l’ora che inizi questa stagione 2019 perché voglio riprendere di nuovo il ritmo della MXGP, dopo aver perso così tanto della campagna 2018. So che ci vorranno alcune gare, ma so per certo che funzionerà perché tutti stanno facendo così tanto per farlo accadere.

Calvin Vlaanderen: “Finora la bassa stagione è andata bene e siamo sulla buona strada per dove dobbiamo essere in questo momento. Le mie speranze per la stagione sono piuttosto alte e mi piacerebbe ottenere più podi e ovviamente più vittorie. Tuttavia, l’obiettivo principale è che voglio lottare nei primi tre del campionato e ciò significa che devo migliorare alcune delle cose che ho imparato l’anno scorso. La cosa rassicurante è che credo di avere la moto e la squadra intorno a me che possono aiutarmi a raggiungere questo obiettivo.”

Team HRC raring to go in 2019

Team HRC will once again feature three riders as they begin their assault on reclaiming the 2019 MXGP and MX2 motocross world championship titles. Tim Gajser (MXGP), Brian Bogers (MXGP) and Calvin Vlaanderen (MX2) have another year under their belts with the factory Honda team and will head to the Argentinian opener on March 3^rd full of confidence that they can challenge for honours.

Slovenian double world champion Tim Gajser finished off the 2018 season strongly with multiple podiums positions, and he’ll be hoping to continue that good form when the 2019 campaign gets underway in Villa La Angostura, where he took victory in 2017 with a double-moto win. With three top-two finishes in the last four events, Gajser is looking for even better results as he bids to get back the MXGP crown that he won on his Honda CRF450RW in 2016.

After an injury-hit 2018, Brian Bogers is hoping to put all that behind him and focus on having a successful campaign this year with Team HRC. The young Dutch rider only completed one event in what would have been his debut season in the MXGP class, but after a good off-season this winter, he is ready to show the world what he is truly capable of.

Calvin Vlaanderen returns aboard his Honda CRF250RW as he looks to challenge the best riders in the world in the MX2 championship. After placing sixth last year, Vlaanderen will look to climb the rankings in 2019 and add to his maiden overall victory which he achieved at the MXGP of Indonesia. He will also be hoping to improve upon his nine top-three moto results and five podium finishes, in what is an extremely competitive 250cc class.

The 2019 MXGP Motocross World Championships will begin at Villa La Angostura, Argentina on March 2-3.

Tim Gajser: “It’s a pleasure to have been with the Honda family for six years so I’m really happy to continue this relationship and we are just one big family. I know everybody in the team and I feel really comfortable because they all want to help me do better each weekend. Already I can tell that the Honda CRF450RW is good, but we have some final tests this week before some pre-season races to try and improve it even more. Then we move onto Argentina and I can’t wait for the MXGP events to begin! “

Brian Bogers: “Everything is looking very good right now. We are working very hard to get ready for the season but the bike and team are amazing to work with. I’m really looking forward to this 2019 season because I want to get back in the rhythm of racing MXGPs again, after missing so much of the 2018 campaign. I know it will take a few races but I know for sure it will work because everyone is trying so hard to make it happen.”

Calvin Vlaanderen: “So far the off-season has gone well and we are on track for where we need to be right now. My hopes for the season are quite high and I would like to get more podiums and obviously more wins. However, the main goal is that I want to be fighting in the top three of the championship and that means I have to improve upon some of the things that I learnt last year. The reassuring thing is that I believe I have the bike and the team around me which can help me achieve that.”

Marcus Pereira deFreitas: “With one year under our belts with this rider line-up, I believe that we can we do even better and maintain the progress and consistency for 2019. Tim finished 2018 strongly and he is really excited for the season to get started so he can continue that good form. Calvin is also extremely motivated to add to his victory at the MXGP of Indonesia last year and has worked very hard over the off season to try and make that happen. As for Brian, his attitude has been impressive after missing almost all of last year and he’s looked really good on the Honda CRF450RW in all our testing so far. There is a real energy with this whole team and I can’t wait for the first gate drop in Argentina!”
