Kawasaki e F & H Racing prenderanno parte al FIM Motocross World Championship MX2 nel 2019 con l’inglese Adam Sterry e il tedesco Henry Jacobi, mentre Roan van de Moosdijk e Marshal Weltin gareggeranno nel Campionato EMX250.

Con F & H Racing e il supporto crescente di Kawasaki Europe l’anno prossimo sia Sterry, che ha festeggiato il suo ventiduesimo compleanno due settimane fa, che Jacobi, che compirà ventidue anni il mese prossimo, saranno desiderosi di inseguire gli onori in MX2 il prossimo anno, la loro stagione finale in questa classe, mentre l’americano Weltin e l’entusiasmante giovane talento olandese van de Moosdijk inseguiranno l’oro nel campionato europeo EMX250.

Il 2019 segnerà la seconda stagione di Sterry con F & H Racing e il gallese metteràa adisposizione sia il suo talento naturale sia il suo stretto rapporto di lavoro con Kawasaki Europe e il team per avanzare in prima linea nella scena mondiale. Già tra i primi sei corridori durante i primi turni della serie di quest’anno, ha affrontato un infortunio alla caviglia durante la seconda metà della stagione per tornare tra primi dieci risultati consecutivi dopo aver partecipato a diverse gare di metà stagione. Un breve periodo di recupero dopo l’ultimo GP in Italia alla fine del mese precederà un solido inverno di preparazione per essere perfettamente preparati per l’inizio della stagione 2019 alla fine di febbraio.

Jacobi, già tra i primi dieci classificati del mondiale si dirige verso gli ultimi due round della serie e si unirà a Kawasaki determinato ad avanzare ancora di più in classifica con il KX250F. Venendo fuori da una stagione incoerente a bordo di un altro marchio, l’ex campione del mondo junior sarà determinato a sviluppare le sue indubbie abilità in modo più regolare a bordo del razzo verde per lanciare una sfida anche alle medaglie. Primo nel round finale della serie tedesca ADAC Masters il prossimo fine settimana, entrerà a far parte di F & H Racing dopo aver rappresentato il suo paese nel Motocross delle Nazioni che concluderà la stagione il prossimo mese.

Weltin, l’amabile americano che è entrato a far parte di F & H Racing a metà stagione e ha immediatamente messo a segno una serie di risultati nella top ten dei GP, torna l’anno prossimo al campionato europeo EMX250, una serie in cui ha un lavoro incompiuto dopo il sesto posto nel 2017. La serie europea, dove i giovani talenti possono imparare il loro mestiere contro rivali più esperti, si è dimostrato una preparazione di prima classe per il palcoscenico mondiale e l’impeto di un titolo ha prodotto gare di alto livello.

Van de Moosdijk è indubbiamente uno degli eccezionali talenti adolescenti di questo sport e si unirà a F & H Racing e Kawasaki il mese prossimo dopo aver completato i suoi impegni con l’attuale team. Il diciassettenne ha goduto del sostegno dell’Italia nel corso di un’impressionante carriera giovanile e ha mantenuto i contatti per il suo ingresso nell 250cc quest’anno nei Campionati Europei in cui ha già registrato sei podi; naturalmente ha colto al volo l’occasione di unirsi a Kawasaki e alla squadra di alto profilo F & H mentre insegue l’oro nell’europeo la prossima stagione e otterrà il suo primo assaggio di come sono i GP in un certo numero di round.

Adam Sterry: “L’anno prossimo resterò con il team F & H, e per la prima volta nella mia carriera professionale avrò la stessa moto dell’anno precedente! Abbiamo lavorato bene insieme, abbiamo lavorato bene con la squadra e in questa stagione ho imparato molto; Spero solo di rimanere senza infortuni, naturalmente. Voglio finire questa stagione forte e poi fare un buon pre stagione per prepararmi per il 2019. Ora vivo in Olanda, quindi sono vicino al team e per noi è più facile lavorare insieme. Avrò un sacco di allenamento sulla sabbia, un sacco di giornate bagnate a Lommel quest’inverno; questa è una delle chiavi per una stagione di successo.”

Henri Jacobi: “È un grande passo per me entrare nel team F & H perché è la prima volta nella mia carriera che sono un pilota professionista. L’anno prossimo sarà la mia ultima stagione nella classe MX2, perché avrò 22 anni presto, e voglio avere una stagione forte. Darò il massimo e penso che ora avrò le migliori persone intorno a me per ottenere risultati davvero buoni. Mi sono sorpreso di questa stagione quando ho ottenuto il mio primo podio in un GP così presto nella serie e ora ne voglio ancora! Lavorerò sulle mie condizioni il prossimo inverno, lavorerò a stretto contatto con la squadra e sono sicuro che farò un altro passo avanti “.

Marshall Weltin: “Sono davvero felice di far parte del team la prossima stagione. Da quando mi sono unito al team F & H e sono tornato su una Kawasaki, abbiamo avuto dei buoni risultati e voglio ringraziare la famiglia; Sono molto grato per tutto ciò che hanno fatto per me. Mi sento a mio agio in questa squadra e so che dopo un buon inverno sarò molto forte la prossima stagione nel Campionato Europeo.”

Roan van de Moosdijk: “Non vedo l’ora che arrivi la prossima stagione, ed è una grande opportunità per me entrare a far parte di Kawasaki e del team F & H. Avrò una nuova grande moto e sarà molto più facile entrare a far parte di una squadra in Olanda dove tutti parlano la stessa lingua dopo aver passato diverse stagioni in una squadra straniera. L’obiettivo è ovviamente cercare di vincere il titolo europeo; dalla metà di questa stagione ho ottenuto ottimi risultati con un paio di podi quindi spero di fare lo stesso il prossimo anno, e non vedo l’ora di correre alcuni GP per prepararmi per il 2020. Sono cresciuto correndo nella sabbia da quando ero un bambino, ma ho dimostrato con un podio in Bulgaria che il terreno duro non è un problema per me “.

Nathalie Fase (Team Manager): “Diventiamo sempre più grandi e anche più professionali ogni anno e il crescente supporto di Kawasaki Europe è un altro passo; ci aiuterà a raggiungere il livello successivo. Abbiamo ottenuto il nostro primo podio MX2 quest’anno; è arrivato prima di quanto potessimo aspettarci e, naturalmente, vogliamo di più. Il nostro sogno è consegnare a Kawasaki molti podi MX2. Kawasaki and F&H Racing will contest the FIM Motocross World Championship MX2 in 2019 with Britain’s Adam Sterry and German Henry Jacobi, Roan van de Moosdijk and Marshal Weltin will race EMX250.

With F&H Racing receiving increased support from Kawasaki Europe next year both Sterry, who celebrated his twenty-second birthday two weeks ago, and Jacobi, who turns twenty-two next month, will be eager to chase MX2 honours next year, their final season in the class, whilst American Weltin and exciting young Dutch talent van de Moosdijk will chase gold in the European EMX250 Championship.

2019 will mark Sterry’s second season with F&H Racing and the Welshman will draw on both his natural talent and his close working relationship with Kawasaki Europe and the team to advance to the very forefront of the world scene. Already a top six runner during the early rounds of this year’s series, he has defied a niggling ankle injury during the second half of the season to return consistent top ten results after sitting out several mid-season races. A short period of recuperation after the final GP in Italy at the end of the month will precede a solid winter of preparation to be perfectly prepared for the start of the 2019 season at the end of February.

Jacobi, already assured of a top ten world ranking as he heads into the final two rounds of the series, will join Kawasaki determined to advance yet further up the rankings with the state-of-the-art KX250F. Coming off an inconsistent season aboard another brand, the ex-world junior champion will be determined to build on his undoubted gating skills more regularly aboard the green rocket ship to also mount a challenge for medal placings. Taking a clear points lead into the final round of the German ADAC Masters series next weekend, he will join F&H Racing after representing his country in the season-ending Motocross of Nations contest next month.

Weltin, the amiable American who joined F&H Racing mid-season and immediately posted a string of top ten GP scorelines, returns next year to the European EMX250 Championship, a series where he has unfinished business after ranking sixth in 2017. The European series, in which young talent can learn their trade against experienced rivals, has proven to be a first-class preparation for the world stage and the impetus of a title has produced top class racing.

Van de Moosdijk is undoubtedly one of the outstanding teenage talents in the sport and will join F&H Racing and Kawasaki next month after completing his commitments to his current team. The seventeen-year-old has enjoyed support from Italy throughout an impressive youth career and maintained those contacts for his entry to 250cc racing this year in the European championships in which he has already recorded six moto podiums; naturally he jumped at the opportunity to join Kawasaki and the high-profile F&H team as he chases European gold next season and will get his first taste of GP action at a number of rounds.

Adam Sterry: “Next year I will stay with the F&H team, and for the first time in my pro career I will have the same mechanic as the previous year! We worked well together, we worked well with the team and I’ve learnt a lot myself this season; I just hope to stay injury-free of course. I want to finish this season strong and then have a really good off-season to prepare for 2019. I live in Holland now so I’m close to the team and that’s easier for us to work together. I will have a lot of sand training, a lot of wet days in Lommel this winter; that’s one of the keys for a successful season.”

Henri Jacobi: “It’s quite a big step for me to join the F&H team because it’s the first time ever in my career that I am a professional rider. Next year will be my last season in the MX2 class as I will turn 22 soon, and I want to have a strong season. I’ll be giving my best and I think that I will now have the best people around me to achieve really good results. I surprised myself this season when I got my first GP podium so early in the series and now I want more! I will work on my condition next winter, work closely with the team and I’m sure I will make another step.”

Marshall Weltin: “I’m really happy to be part of the team next season again. Since I joined the F&H team and came back on a Kawasaki we had some good results and I want to thanks the Fase family; I’m so grateful for everything they did for me. I feel at home in this team and I know that after a good winter I will be really strong next season in the European Championship.”

Roan van de Moosdijk: “I’m looking forward to next season, and it’s a great opportunity for me to join Kawasaki and the F&H team. I will have a great new bike and it will be much easier to join a team based in Holland where everyone speaks the same language after spending several seasons in a foreign squad. The goal is of course to try to win the European title; since the middle of this season I got some great results with a couple of podiums so I hope to do the same next year, and I’m also looking forward to racing some GPs to prepare for 2020. I was brought up racing in sand since I was a kid but I showed with a podium result in Bulgaria that hard-pack is not a problem for me.”

Nathalie Fase (Team Manager): “We’re getting bigger and bigger and also more professional each year and the increased support of Kawasaki Europe is another step; it will help us to reach the next level. We got our first MX2 podium result this year; it came sooner than we could expect and of course we want more. It’s our dream to deliver Kawasaki many more MX2 podiums. Our riders did a good job, we’re all improving and I’m really happy with the four riders who will race for F&H Kawasaki next season; we decided to step it up in the MX2 class next year but also to have a strong programme in the EMX250 with the goal to fight for the title.
